The Ornithologist

In the latest film from João Pedro Rodrigues ("To Die Like a Man") a solitary ornithologist, Fernando, embarks on a journey searching for an elusive species of stork but is quickly swept away by raging rapids. Rescued by a pair of Chinese pilgrims, Fernando ends up plunging headlong into an eerie and dark forest in this "transfixing spiritual and sexual odyssey" (The Los Angeles Times).
